Prof. Dr. Gerhard J. Molderings is recognized as a worldwide leading expert for mast cell diseases with an extensive record of more than 150 international peer-reviewed publications with recent publications on mast cell activation diseases ranking among the top most downloaded and read medical publications worldwide. For the past 30 years, his focus has been on the molecular, genetically and clinical investigations on systemic mast cell activation disease.

Prof. Dr. Gerhard J. Molderings is a worldwide leading clinical practitioner advising several leading clinical institutions on a global scale, and has developed and published international state-of-the-art diagnostics and therapy guidelines for mast cell diseases.

He is an advisory editor of Naunyn-Schmiedeberg´s Archives of Pharmacology and is a regular reviewer for several high-rank medical and scientific journals, and listed as leading author of the most accessed article about mast cell disease in the Journal of Hematology and Oncology. Further, he has served on multiple medical advisory boards for various organizations in the field of mast cell diseases.

Prof. Dr. J. Gerhard Molderings studied human medicine at the Justus Liebig University Giessen and received his license to practice medicine in 1984, made his doctoral degree in 1986, and became Associate Professor for Pharmacology and Toxicology at University Hospital of Bonn. Since 2009, he is an Associate Professor at the Institute for Human Genetics at the University of Bonn.
